Well, once again the first half of the month has sped by before I could even blink! The holidays are quickly approaching, so before I say anything else, I would like to wish all of you a wonderful holiday season! This goes for whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year – Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the Winter Solstice, or just “I have the day off from work” holiday! May the new year bring all of us a new start on whatever it is we need some help with – anything from starting that long-planned exercise routine to volunteering for a local charity! Let’s start 2008 off on the right foot!
So, what’s up with the SFGGC 2008 tournament? Things are finally falling into place, and as previously mentioned, we are moving the tournament to Classic Bowl in Daly City and our host hotel will be The Handlery Hotel in beautiful downtown San Francisco! We are working feverishly to get the tournament rules and entry form finalized so that all of you can begin the wonderful process of entering the 2008 SFGGC Invitational Tournament. As soon as it is completed, we will mail them to all of our past entrants, and for all of you newbies, we will post it to our website so that you can download it and fill it out and send it in to us! We have purchased the trophies for those of you who are planning to kick some butt and finish at the top!
We our currently hosting a “Best 3 of 6” tournament during these two weeks prior to the holiday break! Good luck to all of our local bowlers who are taking part in this event. We will be having a No-Tap tournament at Classic Bowl in January 2008 and are planning to have a few twists at the event! I hope that all of our local bowlers will come out and support the SFGGC and take a shot at winning some prize money!! It promises to be a good time and we will have some nice raffle prizes to give away as part of the 50/50 raffle!
Before I close, I just want to remind everyone that if you have any thoughts or questions regarding the 2008 tournament, please feel free to drop me an e-mail through the website or directly at lthrmarc@comcast.net and I will be happy to answer or reply to your e-mail. We can’t have a successful tournament without the input of our entrants.
Once again, may all of you have a wonderful holiday season and I’ll be talking with you in the New Year!!
